My name is Dr. Ben Wasike, currently an assistant professor of communication at the University of Texas at Brownsville. I received my Ph.D. in mass communication from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with an emphasis in visual communication.

I teach visual communication, advertising, news writing, feature writing, speech, and media history.

My research focuses on visual communication, the diffusion of new technologies, and survey methodology.

My other interests are new media, graphic design, and Web design.
